Frequently Asked Questions

Who will I be trained by?

The primary course tutor for the academic year is Susie Hewitt TSTA-P.  There will be various visiting trainers bringing specialist knowledge and experience throughout the year.  All trainers at Psychotherapy Institute will be 'provisional' or 'qualified' Teaching and Supervising Transactional Analysts unless they are 'specialist' visiting tutors who bring specific subject knowledge and experience.

Is all the training done in person?

We are pleased to provide an accessible, comfortable and embodied learning experience at Psychotherapy Institute and will be offering our 4-year programme through in-person learning at St. Peter's House.  Our CPD offerings will be offered through both in-person and online settings to meet demand.

How do I get to the Institute for CPD events?

By Car - put our address in your Sat Nav:  St Peter's House, Silverwell Street, Bolton, Greater Manchester, BL1 1PP.  There is free parking on site at the weekend, and during the week two car parks on Clive Street (2 mins walk from St. Peter's House). By Train or Bus - both Bolton Train Station and Bolton Bus Interchange are less than 10 minutes walk from St. Peter's House (It is a 20 minute journey from Manchester City Centre by train).

Do I need to bring my own refreshments / lunch?

Tea / Coffee and biscuits will be provided at break-times during each training day. You may bring your own lunch, there are kitchen areas available on each floor, or there are plenty of shops / cafes / restaurants within walking distance in Bolton town centre.
