We offer affordable counselling and psychotherapy as part of our work at the Psychotherapy Institute. This is provided by those undertaking study at the Institute and is overseen by our Director - Susie Hewitt (who is not one of the available counsellors).
As our trainees become endorsed to practice in voluntary placement in their 2nd year of training, they will start to practice through our Low Cost Therapy service.

Please note, this service may not be suitable for individuals with severe mental health conditions, those who are actively suicidal, or those currently experiencing drug or alcohol difficulties.
How to Make an Appointment

Please note that this service is intended for individuals on a low income and in receipt of one or more benefits.
Following an assessment with our Director, you will be matched with a suitable trainee psychotherapist, and can attend weekly 50 minute sessions at our low cost clinic in Bolton. Session fees are £20 to be paid in advance of the appointment through our booking system. Your therapy can continue weekly for a maximum of 40 weeks with the same therapist.
